Error P0505 (and P0325) after valve cover gasket replacement
Hello, I just replaced the valve cover gaskets on my daughter's 2000 Xterra 4wd. Upon getting everything out back together, I'm now getting p0505, idle control air sister error. When removing the plenum, I went to remove the throttle cable bracket & found both nuts on the cable to be loose. Could the idle being set incorrectly be causing this code to throw?
If not, is the idle air control valve the grey or red connection under the plenum? Is the sensor the other one? We had some difficulty reminding the hoses off the back of the plenum & I'm hoping I didn't damage anything. Thanks, Ian |

Okay, good news! I was able to loosen & then jam the red plug under the plenum & that cleared the idle control error.
i'm still getting the knock sensor error, but it's not throwing the check engine light, so I'll keep checking on that one now. |
