Terrible gas milage
I was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem I'm having regarding gas milage. I have a 2007 Xterra Off Road with an automatic transmission. The last few months I have been getting lousy gas milage (approximately 75 km / (46 mi per) 1/4 tank). I was previously getting somewhere around 100 - 115km /(62-71mi) for the same 1/4 tank.
I know it's winter - I live in Canada and it's cold so I expect worse gas milage in the winter - but I've never had it this bad. I've had no MIL codes. The truck seems to be running okay besides the bad milage. I had a bit of a similar problem about 4 years ago, that was caused by blockage in the MAF area of the vehicle. When the problem was corrected - I was getting the same shitty milage and the dealership did an Idle relearn on the truck. Is this what I need to do again? I have tried a fuel additive / cleaner to see if that would help, and it didn't do much. Any suggestion? |

How many miles are on the spark plugs and are they NGK?

There are approximately 95K km or about 60K mi on the vehicle, and they are the original spark plugs.
