Really rough idle and poor power at low rpms.
So I have a 2000 xterra. It's been great but I swear I'm the only one that's ever done maintencance on that thing. So I've changed the o2 sensors and haven't had a light come on and then i did a maf sensor and it was doing great and I didn't have any codes before it was saying knock sensor and the front o2s. And the I took the cats out and odly enough it never through a code. Then a month later I was stopped at a light and I felt a big miss. The I was in a drive through and the thing is sputtering. Smelled super rich and the ignition was out to lunch. Just like me hahah. So I read up and I heard the distributors can be problematic. So I changed it but now it still runs rich probably from the cats out. No codes but everyonce in a while it starts sputtering a little bit and it's only ever done it when it's warmed up. Any thoughts?

It's tough to say without codes. There is a crank position sensor located at the top of the transmission bellhousing which might cause those symptoms when it heats up, if it's faulty. I would make sure the spark plugs/ignition cable/cap and rotor are all in good shape and not causing a misfire; if you replace any of those parts, stick with NGK or genuine Nissan parts. Make sure the EGI ground connections are clean and tight on the intake plenum. Obviously, having a scan tool to view ECM datastream info would be helpful to see what the front O2 sensors are doing (i.e. operating with a shift that would indicate a rich or lean condition) or being able to observe the fuel trim.
