Help! Question…? Adding Keyless Entry Key Fob?
I recently purchased a 2012 Versa HB S with Power Locks but did not come with a key fob for remote entry. I checked behind the glove box and found that it does have the keyless receiver. The FCC id number is CWTWC1U241 “if that helps any”. I have also tried to put the car into program mode following instructions found on-line. I can never get the flashers to flash, indicating it is ready to program the key fob. My question is why? Do I have to take it to the dealer to have the computer flashed to allow for keyless entry? "I wonder what that costs.” If so then that sucks.Reading posts on other forums, others with older model Versa, and different FCC id numbers on their receivers, only bought key fobs and programmed them to the car like I am trying to do. Did Nissan change something on the newer models to prevent this? I know the packages offered have changed over the years "S & SL". Any input would be appreciated...
Thank in advance, Matt… |

As long as it doesn't have the intelligent key it should work.
Follow these steps: Get in the car, close all doors, press the lock button on the driver's door, insert the key in and out of the ignition cylinder 5 times (don't turn the ignition or go too fast) sometimes it may take 6 or 7 times. When the hazards flash push a button on the remote. Unlock the door and re-lock it to do another remote. You can program up to 4.
