Default Are clean windows even possible?

Does anyone have the magic formula for truly clean windows? I've tried every product I can find, soft towels, harsh towels, newspaper, paper towels, direct sunlight, shade, vinegar - even paint thinner and all I ever end up with is a smear job. I know it's me too as the same thing happens no matter what vehicle I'm cleaning. Can someone please help? Thanks everybody.

Glass cleaner and elbow grease. Keep cleaning until all the streaks are gone.

Amazon.com: Sprayway Glass Cleaner / 6 Qty: Automotive
This is the glass cleaner used by glass shops. It works great. I'm sure you can find it locally too.

I've always had really good luck with Windex and yesterday's classifieds.

You can also try a good "clear-coat safe" cleaner-wax. Just don't use too much and try it in an inconspicuous area first. Our glass is little soft and can scratch easily.

The only thing that works for me is ArmorAll Glass Wipes (Streak-Free - Designed for Auto Glass).

Try Gumout Carburetor Cleaner. Works great on the outside to remove the oil taken on from the road.

For really clean windows, try a clay bar kit. Just follow the instructions on the box. Works great.

I agree with Stoners. Great product. Remember some paper products have oil in them so its best to use a towel that is OLD and laundered in a scent free/additive free detergent like Arm and Hammer .
