Cannot roll up RR Passenger window from Drivers Door - CC
Hello
I just bought my 2004 Crew Cab. I found that I can roll the Right Rear Passenger Window down with the drivers door switch, but I cannot roll it up from the drivers door switch. However, I CAN roll up the right rear window with the RIGHT REAR switch. It would seem that this might be an issue with the switch, or possible the involved control module. Does anyone know if this a common problem? Is the problem likely the switch itself or a control module? I was thinking about taking the switch out and measuring voltage that should be coming from that output to see if it is in the switch or not, but I cannot find a wiring diagram for the power window systems. Anyone have any thoughts? |

It's probably the switch. We'll post the service manual section with the wire diagram soon.

That would be great! I am assuming that replacing the whole switch cluster is the likely fix for this problem?

I have read through the service manual a couple of times. It appears to me that "battery voltage" should be present at terminal 5 of the of master switch when the UP switch for the RIGHT REAR window is engaged. Based on the line drawing I would everyone agree that this is likely an issue with the switch?
I am going to use a meter to test voltage at the switch. Does anyone know the procedure to remove the switch? Thank You |

TitanTalk has very nice write ups on how to take the door apart. Should help with the switch too.

I ended up replacing the master switch at the drivers door with a used one from ebay. Still working 5 years later.
