2000 Terrano Diesel Loosing Water
Hi All!
Am new here down in New Zealand. I have a 2000 Terrano 3.0 Diesel which going on a year now is losing water through the over flow bottle. Once it looses enough then it will overheat. This happens when I have been running long distance of around 50 miles. There is no overheating in any terrain till it runs low on water. Have replaced the cap and thermostat yet the problem persists. Have had it to 5 mechanics who have told me it was the radiator, thermostat, cap, pump, cracked block, cracked head, or blown head gasket. I need help before I comit to some expensive repairs on a guess. Need to fix soon as this is AFFECTING MY QUALITY FISHING TIME. Last edited by mikzoian; 12-27-2006 at 10:52 AM. first, did you burp the cooling system properly?
whith engine running, when you open the hole where you pour engine oil into, do you have a bunch of "air" coming out at you?
