New fuel pump and inaccurate gauge
Hello! I'm new to this site, glad to be here.
A couple of days ago, I installed a new fuel pump on my 05 Sentra 1.8L. I noticed that the fuel gauge reads a higher level of fuel than it did with the old pump. Is there a way to recalibrate the gauge with the new pump? |

Most Nissan fuel level sensors that I've worked on have a provision to lower or raise the sensor on the fuel pump module to adjust, as necessary, for gauge accuracy. It usually consists of a release tab and a toothed track. I'm not 100% sure if the B15 Sentras have that provision. Otherwise, the float arm will have to be carefully bent to adjust it. It may take several attempts doing it either way because it's pretty much trial and error.

I'd pay more attention to the low end than the high, you'll get into more trouble with the low being off.
I tend to calibrate them before they get buttoned up in the tank. |
