Default Unable to remove p0462

So recently ive had to get emmisions done and of course it fails if check engine light is on. So with that being said when I run the code it pulls p0462 which is low voltage input. I did a bit of research and found ok fuel pump. So cleared the code removed battery cable and swapped it out. Instantly code came back. Anyone run into this or have ideas?

P0462 is not for the fuel pump, but for the fuel level sensor, which is a fairly common failure on Nissans in the mid-2000's. It is normally fixed by replacing the fuel level sensor. If you replaced just the fuel pump, it wouldn't fix the problem. If you replaced the fuel pump module assembly, which contains the housing and fuel level sensor, then it should have fixed the problem. I don't know which you replaced. So, if you have replaced the entire module, then either the sensor is faulty on the new module or the problem lies either in the instrument cluster or the wiring between it and the fuel pump module for the sensor. That circuit is usually tested finding the ground wire and signal wire for the fuel level sensor at the harness connectors and then confirming a good ground circuit to chassis...and then grounding the signal wire to the chassis and turning the key on. When the key is turned on, the fuel gauge needle should slowly raise from empty to full. If it doesn't or if the needle doesn't reach full, then the gauge in the cluster is bad or there is an open or short in the wiring between the cluster and the fuel pump module.
