Tow harness issues.. 06 sentra. Missing lights after fuse replacement
Hey there,
I was installing a towbar and wired a harness into the brake lights at the back. Not too big of a deal, but it seems to have created an intermittent odd issue. Everything tests fine, voltage wise, and seems to have a solid ground, but when I plug the tow power into the utility trailer I wired it for, the indicator lights on the trailer will sometimes only turn on for the first signal I try. The other one will always fail (when it's doing this - sometimes it's fine). If I leave the signal on, and unplug and then plug back in the harness power back into the trailer, the signal works fine. It also seems to work fine after a while of running. Just random enough to make me want to end my life. That's problem 1.. Problem 2 is, I shorted two wires while running a wire line to the trailer, and blew the running light fuse in the fuse box under the hood. I replaced the fuse, and running lights and dash lights came back, except for the odometer. It's still dark. Working, but not lit. I tested all the fuses using my multimeter and all appear to be functioning. Does the odometer light have a different fuse that the running/dash lights. Long shot I know, but does anyone have any experience with this? Rob. |
