97 sentra crank position sensor not getting power
I have a 97 sentry xe that's not getting power. The repair manual says it should have 5 volts and I have about .03 volts at best even at the ecu. Can anyone help me?

1. Check engine ground, that is neg. battery cable to chassis and to engine block. Remove, clean and re-tightened.
2. If above is good, go to body ground for crankshaft sensor. You might see a body ground connection near the sensor harness connector. Only two wires White-power and Black-ground. 3. You will need the Engine Control manual and identify connection and troubleshooting and Electrical manual for circuit diagram to locate where the connector. good luck. |
