Heater fan either on or not working at all
Hello I am new here and wonder if anyone can help me with a problem I am having with my heater fan? A few weeks ago it turned on and now either won't shut off no control through the heat and A/C knobs or it won't come on keeps blowing fuses. My mechanic said just pull the fuses out to shut it off which I did but now they keep blowing.. Any ideas?

Sounds like you need a fan resistor. Replacing the resistor is very simple, just a couple of screws under the fan motor. The part is around $75.

Heater fan answer...
Thanks for the quick reply! I see this is quite a common problem and found a solution after looking online. It looks like I am in luck as the part is readily available and it costs about 83 bucks shipped free.
Thanks again and I hope I can get this done soon I am going through a lot of fuses! |

Heater fan either on or not working
I forgot to ask this but where exactly is the fan motor. I saw that it might be under the glove box but when I looked all I saw was a black cover with a couple of screws. Can you give me a little more specific direction as to where and how to access the fan motor? If I take the black cover off will it be obvious what I am looking for?
