Blower
Please forgive me if this is already listed somewhere else, but I could not find this particular issue. I have a 2005 Sentra and the blower motor will not work...all the time. Yesterday when I went to go to lunch, the blower would not come on. I checked the fuse, it was fine. I checked the relay under the hood, it was fine. I closed the hood, got in and it worked...Until I got home. The car sat for about 45 minutes and when I got back in, it would not work. Again, I checked everything , but this time it did not come back on...until this morning when I went to work. It was working fine. I just wen tto lunch and it would not work again. I pulled the resistor, thinking it is just too hot out and the resistor is failing, but it will not work on #4 either like most of the posts I've read said. Any ideas?

You could have a faulty blower motor. If you can duplicate the problem, try wiggling the harness connector at the blower motor. If that doesn't do anything, use a 12V test light between the terminals of the harness connector and see if it lights (best to do in speed #4). If it lights, you know you have good power and ground, so replace the blower motor. If it doesn't light, then you'll need to check the circuits.

It turns out the blower motor was bad. I was on the way home and it started up again. After a bit, I started smelling ozone and noticed a marked decrease in the fan speed. When I pulled it out, there was a lot of "soot". I assume that it was seizing and burned out. Thanks for your help!
