Default Foam in the Air Vents

Hi,

In a related thread, mpe235 said "Have you seen any foam come out of the vents? They had problems with the foam seals coming off of the doors inside the heater box. The glue left behind gets heated up and it glues the door to the heater case. You have to remove the entire dash and heater case to repair it. "

I have foam in my vents and my climate mode control does not seem to work. I believe I have the problem described above.

What is the fix? Do I have to replace the mode control box? Or can I just clean it? In the FSM, it talks about disconnecting the A/C coil. Do I have to do that?

Thanks in advance.

The fix is to remove the heater box from the vehicle. Disassemble the box and replace the seals on the doors.
