93 nissan sentra classic
Well ok.. this one is driving me crazy. The car turns over but will not start... the problem is its completely random as to when it starts and when it wont.
Same thing again this morning... and I absolutely need my car for work. Just cant afford a new car right now. I tried using the spray in starter fluid with no luck. I changed out all the vaccuum lines when i noticed they were cracked along where they join up. I changed out the fuel filter (ran fine for a month) If i do get it started it runs fine all day... sits over night and either it wont start or it will and its driving me nutso. I dont know what else to look for or fix... be nice to find the problem sooner than later or the money just flys out the window.... its been an amazing car for me until recently. Any help would be fantastic -Deano |

I'm still pretty new to owning a Sentra, but OBD I engines are my bread and butter. Go to the local parts place and pick yourself up an OBD I code reader. It shouldn't cost more than $30 or $40.
Off the top of my head, you might have a bad starter. Check your timing components just the same. The 93 has a timing chain, so don't worry about that. Make sure the cam gears are tight and not egging out in the bolt holes. |
