Default Stereo won't Work

I have 07 nissan sentra SER Spec V with premium audio package (6CD Changer). 2 Weeks ago, the ECM died (blew) and was replace by the dealer under warranty. I went to pick up the car and found out that the stereo system will not turn on. I notified the service rep who took it in to check. They check the fuse and wall were ok. I dont know if the ECM is linked to the stereo since the stereo displays the some car information( outside temp, MPG, etc).
I need to know if the stereo has blown or can be resetted or something.
Please what is the warranty on the Stereo system.
Please help thanks.

The trip computer is actually controlled by the Unified Meter Control Unit which is in the Combination Meter (Speedo Cluster) that is why you are able to see your MPG, DTE, Temp etc etc. As for the radio, I would check the wiring harness at the back for power to see if it's actually the radio itself, or check the amp that should be underneath your passenger seat - I'm not entirely sure how the Premium Package is set up. I"m also guessing that if the radio was somehow tied in to the ECU that the dealership would have know that.

Default Stereo won't work

Thx. i don't think the harness my be an issue since it was working before and i had not touched it. If the radio is dead, can i buy a used one from ebay and replace it. What effect will the anti theft code have on it.
Also if the amp is dead will it affect the radio from just turning on?
I am thinking about whether to replace the radio unit myself. the new one cost about $1500.

They don't have an anti theft code. One from ebay will work fine. Did you check all of the fuses?

Yes, double-check the fuses yourself, there should be one there specifically marked "radio" but also check #6 & #17 that are located in the driver's dash panel and #31 in fuse-box in the engine bay.

Strange that the radio stopped working when the ECM was replaced!!! I don't what else to tell you except to take it out, check the wiring harness for power and if there is power then I guess the stereo is toast.... I'm not sure if there is a fuse inside the radio itself but you can also check that when you take it out. I guess it's outta warranty??

Thx. The radio was working until the ECM blew up. I didn't pay much attention to it but i think what ever caused the ECM to blow might had affected it (short circuit or ??). I only looked out for it when i went to pick it up after the ECM was replaced. I am taking it back to the dealer to have them check it out again.
I plan to buy a used one from ebay should it happen that it is toast. Hope i can take it out and install it myself without any special equipment.

I have 2008 Nissan SENTRA (VIN:3N1AB61E08L746610)
Can you help me to find out what kind of audio system is in it?
I am trying to install a bluetooth car kit and can never find a diagram.

Please, help if you can or give me a link where should I ask about this issue.

According to the VIN, you have either the base, S or SL model. Not sure if the SL trim had the premium stereo option but the fact that you are unaware suggests that you have the standard package. What type of kit are you trying to install? Are you trying to install a new stereo with bluetooth or you want to integrate a bluetooth device with your existing car radio?

Yes, I want to install a bluetooth car kit for my cell phone. I mean, I want to integrate it with my existing stereo. The car kit is named "Parrot MKi9100".
My problem is that I can not find diagrams for my stereo's wiring to correctly connect it to the car kit.
Can you help me with that please?

Go to "Knowledge Base" menu on the top of this page, then Service Manuals, pick Sentra then 2008. Download the AV.PDF file

Many thanks, but when I did it, there was a message: Category is currently empty.
Can you check it? May be I did not do something as I should.

What else can I do?

No, you are right - it's empty. Pick the 2007 one then, it has the file.

OK. But are the 2007 and 2008 Nissan Sentra the same model year?
