Anyone having problems with the clearcoat on their Rogue being way too soft??? I mean even a fingernail will scratch or in-dent through the clearcoat.

Yup, everyone I have seen has the clearcoat issue. The three shops I have taken mine to all said that it needs to be dismantled and re-painted. This is even the shop the Nissan dealer had me take it to, they actually refuse to do the work! That same shop referred to it as a "Lemon". But all the Rogue's have this problem. Suppose to hear today what is going to happen with mine. If I dont get the right answer, my attorney is ready to go with it. Has anyone on here gone thru the arbitration system with a car dealership?

sounds to me like they did not let the clear coat set in the paint booth -long enough

The paint on my 2009 Murano is soft and scratches very easily.
The clear coat on my 98 altima, with the dark cherry paint color began peeling off the hood and roof last year. I have also seen other altimas with the same problem from that time period. I know the car was almost ten years old but I never had a car do that before. I wonder what these vehicles will look like in a few years? |
