trouble getting a "good brake pedal" after caliper replacement
I'm having trouble getting a good brake pedal after I replaced the front calipers. I have bled the brake lines extensively and get no air.
The brake pedal will go to the floor with light continuous pressure. If I pump the pedal I can get a firm pedal. Anyone have any suggestions? This is the first Nissan I have owned. It's a 2008 rogue. Is there any peculiarities with the brake system in these cars? TIA Last edited by buzzleo; 06-19-2021 at 05:03 PM. |

not much action here........
ok well I replaced the master cylinder and have the same symptoms.
I can pump the pedal and get a firm pedal. But, if I take my foot off the brake for a few seconds.....it will go all the way to the floor if you step on it again! I used the manual to bleed each wheel cylinder in the correct sequence. I checked the booster and it will hold a vacuum. is there some sort of reset procedure with the ABS module? I'm stumped right now. Thanks |

Sounds like a classic air getting into the lines.
