Default Wrong gas in Nissan Rogue

My son decided to put diesel in my 2012 Rogue (didn't realize this was even possible). He drove it about 1/4 of a mile & parked at the super market. Then it wouldn't start after he got back out of the supermarket. I had it towed to a local mechanic & still waiting to hear back.

It's got 155,000 miles on it. If my local guy can't fix it, is it worth bringing to the dealer? Is the labor costs worth it? I certainly will not invest in a new motor. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Brian

We see this a lot. It's not hard to fix. Drain the fuel tank. Disconnect and blow out the fuel line. Reconnect and refill with gas. I have never seen this cause an engine problem.
