Question 12V power inverter question

Hi, all! Has anyone used a 12V power inverter (1000W or +)? I have a 2015 Rogue SL, have tried several and they don't supply enough power to boil water. The intended use is to be able to make long road trips, 4-5 days, and minimize stops for coffee, etc. I'm wondering if the problem is not the inverter but instead, the 12 V cigarette lighter is not capable of generating enough power to provide the required wattage. Any information is greatly appreciated- all packed and ready to go!

Have u tried going directly to the battery terminals instead of through the power port/ ciggarette lighter?? U may be correct about the cigg lighter not supplying enuff amps, usually only a 20amp fuse for the circuit...but fuse would probably blow if demand of load exceeded fuse rating....so its kin d of a good question....maybe inverter wont supply enuff juice to boil water afterall.....so. go directly to battery terminals and see what happens....if it boils the water at the terminals then u suspected rite about the cigg lighter socket...
Although fuse should have blown if inverter draw exceeded fuse rating....
Anyways....thatz what i would try to do....
Good luck
