nissan rogue ac compressor clutch problem
I own a nissan rogue with 2.5L engine.
I've had this a/c clutch in for almost four months and it just started making noise. Sounds like maybe the bearings. It’s mainly at start up,noise goes away after about a minute. The clutch is working fine when ac is on. What should I do ? Is it time to have a new nissan rogue compressor clutch ? Thank you. |

If the noise is the clutch bearing, than, "yes," you would need a new A/C clutch assembly.

I also had bad experience before. The bearing failed, causing a very loud noise when the compressor is not engaged. Then the clutch coil began to smoke. Had to cut my new stretch belt ($25) in order to disengage the pulley, and the noise has stopped. This really sucks. Finally, bought a new nissan rogue ac clutch kit at Hexautoparts.com and replacing the bad bearing and coil, now it has been working fine for two months.Hope that helps.
