2010 Nissan Rogue No Reverse following Valve Body replacement
Vehicle moves forward
Vehicle does not go backwards. Vehicle throws codes related to accelerator pedal position sensor. I didn't work on that so I am stupefied. I have checked the service manual and it seems to me that two things could be responsible for this state of affairs. Failure to replace transmission lip seal ( A MUST) Failure to reprogram the TCM Are these ideas on the mark? Any and all advice would be appreciated. |

You have to have the TCM programmed if it's new.

Valve body only not TCM
Here is the factory repair process in pictures
Dropbox - Nissan Rogue Control Valve Installation Procedure - Simplify your life If you go through these pictures it mentions, removing the lip seal as the process of disassembly, and installing it as the first process of reinstallation. I studied the factory manual for a similar vehicle from Nissan with the a similar but revised transmission, it said not to reuse the lip seal, could this be in factor in the loss of reverse? Valve body only not TCM
If the valve body is new? not a new TCM
Would the lip seal non-replacement cause lack of reverse? |
