Default Auto AWD light question (Rogue)

Hey guys and gals,

I am looking for a little help with a 2016 Rogue.

Does the All-Wheel Drive light on the dash suppose to stay lit? I only ask because mine is not. I am pretty sure when I first got the vehicle it was on, but I have since forgot about it and didn't notice it wasn't lit until today, when trying to get the wife to work in this blizzard that is hitting us on the Eastern Coast. Yes I know, bad, bad Rogue owner

I can lock the AWD and that light comes on, but when I unlock it, there is no light to let me know the Auto is on.

Could this just be a bulb problem or is it a sign the AWD isn't working ... or both? Ha. Or heck am I even correct that the light for AWD is even suppose to stay on? Am I just wasting your time? LOL

I have read the manual and it seems the light is suppose to stay on, so I am going to hit the dealer as son as I can, but was looking for a little knowledge before hand, so any help would be great.

Thanks!!!

The light doesn't stay on in the 2016. The auto awd is always on unless the amber warning light is on.
In the 2014 model year the light would remain on.
