Default Airbag light not going off

Greetings,
I am kind of at a loss with my wife's 2015 Rogue. We took out the front passenger seat to dry up some water that leaked in. Everything went just fine until we started up the car and the airbag light in the instrument cluster will not go out. The light for the passenger airbag light functions as normal, so I am not sure what to do.

I did a search, and found that there are threads on a blinking airbag light are everywhere here and online, but I could not find anything on a light that stays on.

Any assistance, abuse or hazing in general are greatly appreciated.

Ron

Try turning the ignition on and off about 6 times without starting the car. That may reset it.

...and if that doesn't work, you may need to get the air bag codes read, which would require a capable scan tool.
