Default Belt Tension

Want to first start off saying Hello, new to the forum.

I have a question is there a way to add tension to the serpentine belt? Mine snapped and I replaced it, which was a task for me since I don't know what I am doing. But now when I turn on the heater/AC it squeals really bad. So I thinking the belt needs to be tighter.

Any help would be great.

check the belt routing. It will fit two ways, one will be loose and the other will be tight. You probably have it on wrong.
