Default GPS on Quest

GPS on Quest 2004 does not allow entering address when car is moving. I guess it's probably a safety feature. Does anybody know how to disable this feature? My wife is usually next to me and she does all the changes in the nav, so it will not be a safety issue.

Any help will be greatly appeciated.

According to your Navigation Manual - it is a safety feature and their is no instructions for disabling it. I checked through the net - and couldn't find any procedures to disable that feature. One person was going to build an antenna switch so he could shut off the sat reception - make a change and then switch back to the sat. Apparently, when you lose sat reception - you can make a change while moving. He didn't follow up with his idea.

Thanks vpnavy. I read on edmunds forum, there is series of code you can punch in on the dashboard controls to disable.
