P0134 not solved with new O2 sensor
P0134 code returns after replacing O2 upstream sensor. After running a bit, engine intermittently idles roughly and hesitates on acceleration. What else might cause this code and behavior??! 2 different shops failed to solve this, now I'm desperate!

Check for intake leaks. An intake leak could cause both symptoms and trigger the code. A bad O2 sensor or O2 sensor wire could trigger the P0134, but won't cause the engine to run rough or hesitate.

Good advice!
This sounds like excellent advice. In fact, I can hear a hiss from behind the engine, between it and the fire wall--probably a hose. I won't get to work on it now for a bit, but I wanted to thank you for the help. Can't figure out why 2 mechanics didn't look for that!

I'm having the same exact problem. I checked for hissing & what not & didn't hear anything. Do you know what else it could possibly be?

Try to add grounding wire directly to battery negative post. I had this issue after replacing oxygen sensor for 3 times and the P0134 came back always. For details, please refer to my other post: 2002 Quest o2 sensor
