Default 2006 Quest Blower Motor REVVING

Hi:
My Quest started making a noise like something was stuck in the fan blades - almost like paper flapping - as well as grinding/chopping noises like somethng was 'stuck' and the blades chewed it up. Seems we had a "critter" or two get in up under our hood and into the cabin of the van. We've taken off the glove compartment to have access to the whole area and cleaned out a TON of food/etc. (ugh AND YUCK).
HOWEVER, there's also a noise coming from what I think is the blower motor - I can only describe it as a motor on overdrive. It's very loud (reminds me of a prop plane revving up to take off) and makes my whole steering column/wheel, dash, and console vibrate. Obviously, if you unplug it, it all stops. It doesn't change "speed" noise no matter what - fan on/off, accelerate/stop - no difference in this loud 'rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr'.
I seem to still have air flow out of the vents, although it seems that the intensity isn't always "matching" the setting - not a ton of air blowing when it's on high; and the heat/cold isn't quite accurate either (maybe coincidence or my imagination???)
ANYWAY, before tearing apart the entire dash, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what I might need to replace/look for damage, test, etc. My 'guy' didn't seem to notice any chewed wires, but if I should be looking for stuff like that, instructions about WHERE to look would be really appreciated... as would any other kind of help.

Thanks!

Probably, there is still debris inside the blower fan. Remove the blower motor/fan and clean all the debris, if the problem persists, you have to replace the blower motor. Also, make sure you replace the in cabin filter. Instructions to remove the blower motor are in the "Air Condition" section of the service manual. You can download the manual free from here: http://x.nissanhelp.com/forums/local...62&linkid=3522
