2007 Quest overheating when running AC
Just purchased a 2007 Nissan Quest S, with 132,000. The AC stopped being cold, and I noticed the engine heating up. Then the blower stopped working all together, wouldn't blow hot or cold. Took it to the mechanic and he got the blower working again. Turned on the AC and it was working fine again, after about 20 minutes of city driving the AC stopped feeling cold again and the engine temp was spiking again. Haven't used the AC since and have had no problems. This is my first post on these forums, thanks for taking the time to read, I truly appreciate any help at all!

Check the electric fan operation for the radiator. There are two electric fans and they should both be "on" with the A/C running. Make sure they are both operating at the same speed, as well. I worked on a 2007 Maxima that did the same thing and it turned out that while both electric fans were working, you could see the passenger side fan wasn't turning as fast as the driver's side. Replaced the fan assy. with a Dorman cooling fan assembly for around $75 (comes with both fan motors and the shroud) and it was fine after that.

Thanks for the reply, I just checked the fans and neither one is spinning while idling with the AC on. Guess I found the problem! Going to order some new motors now. Thank you!
