Default 2004 Quest 3.5sl (stalls out)

Hello,

Quest has now stalled out twice while slowing down at a stop sign. Off with egnition, then will start up and run fine. Has occured over a three week time period. Approx 85,000. Excellent condition. Change out oil every 5000mls with castrol full syntech 5w-50 w filter.
Thank you.

Not sure why you are using 5w-50 instead of 5w-30 oil.....

It could be a number of things. Is the "check engine" light on?

No. Did find out from dealer, that camshaft position sensor is going bad. I had them change it out, (could have done it myself, but to busy right now ). My thinking on the oil issue is that the 50 would protect the engine better during hot summer months.Thank for the reply, on your end.
