Question Spark plug replacement for older models.

I asked a service tech the other day what it would cost to replace the spark plugs in my 1993 Quest and was blown away with $200-300 for just the labor. It has around 85,000 miles on it. He says that the top of the engine has to come off to access the spark plugs in the back. I have searched the internet and have found some info where some model years had difficulty replacing the back spark plugs and at this point I can't pin down whether this includes my 1993 Quest. Could someone please give information regarding this issue? I don't know if this guy is out of the loop, taking me for a ride or right. Thanks, Cathy

The plugs on the 1993 quest are accessible without removing any other components. You should be able to get the plugs replaced at a shop for $200 or less including parts and labor.
