Terry,

I also have an extra key that isn't chiped, and try my best not to insert it into the ignition by mistake. Sorry I can't help with a how to, so let us know what it take's to get your Frontier functioning again.

My 1st thought is to call the Nissan Service Manager to see what the option's are.

As there are no fault codes maybe the prob is not the immobilisor.

It just wont crank everything else works

Terry,

My guess is that it is the Immobilisor, that's what it is supposed to do.

At any rate don't try to work with the electrical system unless you know what you are doing. It doesn't take much at all to damage one of the Electronic Control Module's. The ECM can be taken out by a loose Cable on the Battery Terminal causeing a Spike to the Module.

The Electronic control Module's aren't cheap either.

It may be that Nissan can come to you and reset the Immobilizer without you haveing to haul your nissan to them. If you have to take your Nissan to them my preference is a Flatbed to prevent damage. Another alternative might be renting a UHaul Car hauler, but you'll need to winch the Truck onto the Trailer useing a come along. If you don't have the Cable Hook on your Frontier, you'll probly have to remove the front valance to prevent damage or maybe winch it from the Rearend.

Life require's that It's Alway's Something.

Let us know how it goes.
