p1145 questions
Hi, I'm new to the forum. I have a 01 PF and just started having problems. Symptoms are hesitation at speed and lack of power. The code I get is p1145 which I understand is intake timing sensor. Any recomendations on where to get one or is this a dealer only part?
Thanks Tim |

I'm not sure if you can get the sensor at the auto parts store, but I recommend to used the factory one.

Thanks for the info guys. The pictures of the location of this bugger is as clear as mud. Any chance someone has a pic of it? Is this called by another name? The local dealer said it had to be the camshaft position sensor.

Until a Specialist replies...I pulled this from your Service Manual Section EC - ENGINE CONTROL SYSTSEM Page EC-343 - The camshaft position sensor (PHASE) is located on the engine front cover facing the camshaft sprocket. It detects the cylinder No. signal. The sensor consists of a permanent magnet, core and coil.

Just a week ago I've replaced my left sensor, and spent almost 6 h on the web to find a picture. Here you go. |
