Default 2008 LE cruise control not working

2008 Pathfinder LE. I have a cruise control problem that is giving me a headache. A few months ago I replaced the clock spring because most of the steering wheel controls weren't working. (Of course a clock spring with the heated steering wheel connection is not available so I modified the new one so it does.) All good everything worked. Now the cruise control has stopped working. It wont turn on at all. Traced the wires from the cruise switch and checked for voltage at the connector behind the airbag. Nothing. I'm looking for a wiring diagram the so I can check for continuity through the clock spring and to check for voltage getting to the input connector. I have found 2 diagrams but of course the wire colors don't match the colors that are in the vehicle. Tried checking all of the connector pins but no luck. Before I order another new clock spring and go through all of that I want to make sure that the problem is there and not possibly a ECM issue. The cable in the clock spring could have broken but that seems unlikely. Thoughts?
