VDC OFF and SLIP lights on and no acceleration.
Got a 2010 Pathfinder SE with the following issue, it drove fine during the morning and early afternoon, and when I started it this afternoon to come home the VDC OFF and SLIP lights are on and it does not accelerate. Pads are only two months old, battery is a month old, brake fluid is ok and no other issue seem to be going on with it. Left it with the battery disconnected for an hour and tried it again and the lights are still on. What can it be going on ? Any help will be appreciated.

You need to check for both powertrain codes (P-codes) and ABS codes (C-codes). The reason you need to check for P-codes, which can be done with a common OBD II code reader, because if the ECM detects and engine management issue, it will trigger a code and disable the traction control system, which causes those warning lights to illuminate. If there is no CEL nor P-codes, then a capable scan tool will be needed to access the ABS system codes. That would help determine what the problem is. Some basic things you can check first is the brake fluid level, play in the wheel bearing hubs and/or any signs of chaffing or wear through on the wires of the ABS system and to the wheel speed sensors.

Thanks smj999smj, I was able to trace the problem to the rear right speed sensor. Sensor was replaced and problem has been solved. Thanks for your response.
