Default Recommended Year 2005-2012

Looking to purchase a 2nd Pathfinder, currently have a 2005 Offroad @285,xxx km. Originally purchased at about 120,xxx km. It's been a good vehicle, but has had all the classic issues over the years - Transmission, Timing chain and now I am into various sensors.

I am thinking of getting a newer / low km version of the same truck and wondering if there is a specific year I should be looking for.

In North America, 2012 followed by 2011 are the best years to get, as they finally got all of the "bugs" worked out of it, i.e. upper timing chain issues, radiator cooler issues (although there have been a few, rare, 2011's that have experienced the cooler failure), fuel sending units, etc. If you are not in North America, you may not be prone to the same issues.

Thanks, I found an 2012 SV model with 130k on it that looks good. My current SE is the Offroad edition, do you what give it the extra ground clearance? The tires or is there a slight lift too.

I know about the other things like the hill assist, shocks and undercarriage protection.
