Service engine soon lamp on......again.
My service engine lamp came on for the second time. First time went to Autozone to have code read. Nothing! Disconnected battery for 4 hours. Came back on and next day extinguished for 6 weeks. Came on a few days back. Went to Oreillys to have code read. Again nothing! Pathfinder runs Great! Starts great! Drives fine. No issues that are obvious. ???? MTG

You need to check codes in all systems not just engine.

I would have assumed that the code reader at Autozone and Oriellys would have read all codes. Correct? The owners manual states that a service engine lamp that stays on permanent is an emissions problem. Although, my Pathfinder throws no codes to this effect. My Pathfinder runs great. I would think an emissions problem would at least effect performance. Yet, it runs, starts fine. MTG
