Default Fuel Pump

Fuel sending unit is gone. I have decided to replace whole pump unit as it is 10 years old (2007 pathfinder 93,000 miles). I have read and saw on you tube that there is an access plate under the passenger's seat drivers side. I cut carpet enough to fold it back and found a dome metal plate sealed with rubber glue. Is this the fuel pump access cover?? Does it have to be pried up due to the rubber seal? I can change the pump if I can find the access plate. I dont have equipment to drop the tank and sure hate to pay for a job I can do myself if I can get to the pump!!----THANKS

2004 Pathfinders (R50) were the last Pathfinders to have the access plate for the fuel pump. That said, it's not too bad of a fuel tank to drop (as fuel tanks go). Be careful not to brake the clip on the evap hose and you'll need the tool to disconnect the quick-connect fuel lines. It also helps if you have the tool to remove the fuel module retaining ring.
