Default Vibrates on acceleration but stops on deceleration

My 2001 Pathfinder LE 3.5 begins to vibrate very mildly when 1st accelerating but increases vibration until 40mph where it levels off. Noticeable vibration at it’s most extreme, but does not seem critical though it appears there is something wrong and needs to be addressed. As soon as I let off the gas or decelerate the vibration stops. Putting it in 4wd doesn’t seem to matter. Any advice would be appreciated.

Is the engine light ON? have you checked for codes? is it vehicle speed related or engine speed related? do you feel the vibration at a stop?
Sorry for all the questions

The “service engine soon” light came on about 2 weeks ago, and flashes at times. I was actually planning on having a mechanic look at it, but wanted to understand my best options before taking it in. I haven’t checked for codes. Probably because I don’t know what that means :/ RPM’s don’t seem to matter. It’s more to do with vehicle speed. Nevertheless, while idling at a steady and smooth 700, the vehicle appears to be running rough as if the RPM’s are up and down.

The flashing light indicates a condition that is detrimental to the catalytic converter. This typically means a misfire, which would explain the vibration under load. Get the codes read might help pinpoint the cylinder that is misfiring. Often this is caused by a bad ignition coil or a spark plug tube seal leaking oil into the well. Worn spark plugs or a bad fuel injector are other possibilities.
