Default 99 Pathfinder Climate Control

Hi,
My heater and AC and fan work fine but I cannot switch from floor to dash to defroster. It's stuck on blowing from the dash vents. I have an led readout unit that senses temperature and not the one with rotary switches. I would appreciate any advice on what to check or what to replace. Thanks very much for your time.

Do you have a manual or automatic A/C system? (display or no display). If you have a manual A/C, then the mode door cable could be disconnected. You may have to remove the glove box to access the cable.

Thanks for the reply. It is an automatic system with an led display and a button that controls the airflow and a rocker switch that lets you raise and lower the temperature. The readout shows where the flow should be going. When you press the button to change from, for example defroster to feet, the readout shows the little picture changing but the airflow just stays on dashboard vents. The readout shows the proper change but there is no mechanical change of flow.
