Default 2003 Pathfinder Loose Engine Power 2 SEC

Hi
My 2003 Nissan Pathfinder SE while driving from start in second gear on throttle increase looses power/Engine Misses completely for 2 second then it runs fine but comes engine light on.
As my bluetooth adapter not showing codes, i reset it, someone said its knock sensor. Before i get it checked for code after paying anyone can guide about this problem.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Knock sensors do not cause misfires, although misfires can cause knock sensor codes. So, you will likely have a knock sensor code along with another code. Since your bluetooth reader is not reading the codes, I suggest you take it to your local auto parts store and see if they have a generic OBD II code reader that will pull the codes. If that doesn't access the codes, you may have a faulty ECM or a an OBD II diagnostic connector circuit issue between that and the ECM. At that point, I would suggest you consult the factory service manual "Engine Control" section, which you can download from the "knowledge base" at this site, for diagnostic procedures. Some of the common issues on these engines that cause misfiring include bad ignition coil packs and power valve screws that fall out and into the engine due to insufficient thread sealant from the factory. Also, knock sensor issues are a little more common on the R50's with the VG33E engine than so the VQ35DE. Bottom line is you need to get the stored trouble codes!

I got it checked for 28$ :) and he was laughing at bluetooth adapter ..
As i was expecting the codes were 0325 Bank 1 Knock sensor and 0345 Bank 2. Camshaft position sensor.
As i told before the engine runs good with power but misses one time only from start to power off. Engine was overhauled 6 months before and now there is no engine oil consumption at all.
Can it be Camshaft sensor only which triggers knock also , as for knock sensor replacement charges are too much due to its location.
If i clear the codes and run without accelerating too much in any gear then misses after driving long. Advise is much appreciated.Thanks.

I would replace the Bank 2 camshaft position sensor, erase the codes and see what happens. I would also recommend you use a genuine Nissan sensor unless you can find a Hitachi or Mitsubishi sensor on the aftermarket. These sensors have a tendency to go bad and the aftermarket sensors have had a lot of problems with quality control. As you said, you are experiencing misfiring, which can be caused by a bad cam sensor and will trigger a knock sensor code. Bank 2 is the left bank (driver's side in the US). There are several sensors, so check the service manual and make sure you replace the right one!

I replaced the Bank 2 camshaft position sensor but same situation , missing/loss power for a 1.5 to 2 sec only once when starts and runs in 2nd gear , i dont understand if some sensor is faulty like camshaft , it should miss on every throttle , but it runs normal after first miss.Should i check and clean MAF sensor or carburetor from mechanic. Still not got checked again the codes, by the way i bought Code checker autel 519 and it connects but does not read the codes if it connects with ECU thru protocol then why not get or ECU send data , says not supported..

There is no carburetor as it has multi-port fuel injection. You could try cleaning the MAF sensor, but I can't guarantee it'll fix the problem. If the CEL is "on," you should get the stored code(s) first. Some generic code readers, especially bluetooth models, have trouble getting codes from some Nissans. You should try another tool or have a parts store or repair shop try to access them. If you have a code, then you can follow the diagnostic procedure for that code in the factory service manual to isolate the cause of the code. BTW, any chance the spark plugs are due for replacement?

Thanks for reply , as i am keen to know the problem because this happens once only after driving on pushing more throttle, kindly note that if i drive normally not throttling much , changing gears in less throttle then this loss of power comes only when on turning (lowering speed and then accelerating a little), spark plugs were replaced with engine overhaul 6 months back.
Some person i asked said that it can be related with fuel as in normal drive (Not accelerating much) this does not happen , might be fuel filter or fuel pump.
Fuel problem might be causing the engine to stall and throw codes.

Fuel issue is easy to confirm. If you don't have a fuel pressure gauge, many auto parts stores have them in loaner programs. Fuel pressure should be around 34-36 PSI running and should be close to 45 PSI during a static pressure check (not running).
Proper TPS adjustment is critical for its operation and these sensors have been known to go bad, occasionally.

I changed the knock sensor and spark plugs but same situation ..missing once ..
EDIT:
I got information today by a car computer repair person who drove the vehicle that the computer is faulty and sends a delay in the engine system which causes 1 sec power loss.
EDIT2:
Other mechanic checked it by driving the vehicle, he told its some type of valves like swirl control valve etc. malfunction.

Hi have a look at the sensor readings , intake camshaft advance B2 is on higher side , is this the cause of power lodd and camshaft pos sensor code warning. Also O2 B2 sensor is still at 0.28..Some misfire is also there and fuel mileage is worst.

At last i found the problem due to which there was a power loss , it was Intake Valve Timing Control Solenoid B2, I unplugged the wire and test the vehicle its running without loss of power.
I checked the solenoid by battery voltage its ok, also checked the harness and its voltage its also ok, but when i plug it in and run the vehicle , same loss occurs and gives the 0345 code for camshaft sensor not the solenoid after occurring jerk.
I am using the vehicle by unplugging the solenoid harness, does it might cause any problem to vvti system/engine.
