Default rear power lock sticks

Hi pathfinder peeps.

My 2001 rear door power lock stopped working, first intermittently in the cold and now permanently. All other power locks work. Power unlock works, just not power lock. I removed the rear door panel and greased and WD40'd the lock as best I could and temporarily got it to work again but it didn't last long. Seems like it's just sticking but I'm not sure what else to do. Any ideas?

thanks

Clean it again, and try some aerosol silicone lube.

Okay I tried again for an hour to try and lubricate this lock. I get the same behavior. I can get it to work temporarily but it quickly stops again. I'm convinced that no amount of lubrication is going to solve it. It doesn't seem to be mechanical. Any other ideas? Any chance that the electrical mechanism could go bad one way but not the other?

thanks

It's very possible. It sounds like a faulty door lock actuator.
