Passenger side Valve Cover Gasket Video?
Hi All I think I found my burning rubber smell problem....albeit $700 and a new clutch later......I may not have needed that new clutch yet as it seems the burning smell continued after I replaced it. After having returned home yesterday and the car parked in the garage, the burning rubber smell was INTENSE. I immediately opened the hood and started smelling and found it on the passenger side, but the hood being up the smell dissipated quickly.
Upon further inspection I noticed a dark oil stain on the passenger side and have determined it must be a leaky Valve Cover Gasket. Also I noticed the same thing on the driver side towards the back of the engine, another oil stain. However, when I checked my oil levels, all is really really good. And there is no oil drips on my floor. I have been trying to find a video that shows how a Valve Cover Gasket is changed ONLY on a pathfinder, but all I can find are other Nissan models. Can anyone direct me to a video for ONLY a Pathy 2000 Manual Tranny? Thanks |

The transmission doesn't matter. You can search for Nissan Frontiers or Xterras with the VG33E or even the VG30E in the older Hardbody trucks or Pathfinders, as the procedure is pretty similar.
