Default service kit- cowl top

I just bought a service kit- cowl top for my 08 pathfinder. I have no idea where it goes. I have looked up by the blower motor and under the hood. I have purchased a new blower motor and the service kit. Can anyone please tell me how to locate the air intake flange. Thank you.

Go into the "knowledge base" to the "service bulletins" category. Under 2008 Pathfinder, search keyword "blower" and find Nissan TSB# NTB10-055. It will give you full instructions and pictures of the kit installation. It goes under the passenger side cowl cover.

Thank you, I just don't know where the passenger side cowl cover is located. I printed the NTB10-055 and could not tell by the photos where the cowl cover is. It looks like it is under the hood.

Hey, not sure if you still need this or not, but here is a link to some instructions for removing the cowl on an xterra forum site:

How-to: Painting the Wiper Cowl - Second Generation Nissan Xterra Forums (2005+)

I think I may need to get the service kit. My blower motor still works intermittenly, seems to have issues when its raining or just after its been raining hard. It will struggle to work, and then eventually will stop. Next day or so it will start working again.

The cowl is at the base of the windshield, near the wipers.
