Default Radio has no power

I have a 1999 Nissan Pathfinder. I was driving down the road and the radio went out. I've put in an aftermarket radio awhile back - used compatible wiring harnesses. I checked all the fuses - all are fine. I even hooked up the old factory radio - that did work before ....it still doesnt work - so I am assuming something else with the wiring may be wrong. I've checked the fuses under the hood and in the dash and all are fine. HELP!!!! Any other suggestions before I take to a service technician and go broke???!?!?!?

Thank you!!

Do you have power at the harness? the first thing you need to do is disconnect the radio and check if there is power at the connector (should have 12V or more). Not sure what color is for the radio unit you have, but the usual wire colors are red or yellow. If there are 12 V or more at the connector, but the radio doesn't come ON, then the problem is probably the radio.
