Default 1997 Pathfinder timing belt question

I have a 1997 Pathfinder LE, 3.3, 5 speed. I have been doing research for an hour to try to find out if this is an interference or non interference engine. I have seen posts on different sites that say it is interference, and others that say it is non interference. Can someone here tell me for sure? Thanks!

Mine broke yesterday on my way to work. Had it towed home. My husband is concerned about trying to fix it himself. How difficult is this to do on a Pathfinder? And since it broke while I was driving it, are the chances pretty high that something else was seriously damaged?

How long after it broke did u run it? Was there a lot of noise from under the hood? You might be ok. Its not that difficult of a job. Should take 3-4 hrs. You might as well replace the water pump while you are there. You can go on youtube to find a video on replacing the belt. Dont forget to replace the belt tensioner. You would need to do a leak test to see if you bent any valves.

Thanks! I was driving to work, it kind of jerked a little, then stalled...I coasted to the side of the road and called a tow truck. Hopefully there is no damage to the valves.
