Default 97 pathfinder #2 misfire P0302 and P0325 (96, 97, 98 ALL READ)

Codes: P0302 (misfire on #2 cylinder) and P0325 (knock sensor)

1997 Nissan Pathfinder, 4wd, 3.3 liter V6, Automatic, A/C, 168,000 miles.
Starts fine cold, once engine fully warmed up - shut off for say 5 -60 minutes - then the warm restart results in a missing (misfire on #2) which goes away after 120 seconds - then it runs fine.
any help would be greatly appreciated

I just posted in another thread but will add it here as well - I only had the P0302 but this should still apply:

I had this exact issue for a little while now and it has progressively gotten worse. I had the dealer do the injector service, which did nothing. That was today. Plugs, wires, distributor cap were about a year old.

Only after cleaning the throttle body and shooting cleaning fluid into the engine while running did it improve the situation. Before, the SES would constantly flash on warm start and idle rough. Now, the SES is still on, but has not flashed, on warm start there is slight misfire but goes away after 30 seconds or so. But overall works 100% better.

Strongly recommend you clean out your throttle body, it's a cheap fix. Get ALL the gunk out of there. I did this twice, until the cleaner running out of the throttle body was somewhat clear.

this is caused by a vacuum leak, a vapor lock issue. this should be flagged as I believe all 1996 and 1997 possible 1998 pathfinders are going to have this problem. a P0302 #2 cylinder misfire w/secondary code of P0325 knock sensor. before replacing injector 2, wires , plugs, etc.. check the vacuum line above rear drivers side tire, small hose from charcoal canister up over the shock to the purge valve.The rubber hose from the canister connects to a metal hose then the metal hose connects back to a rubber hose to the purge valve. The METAL hose corrodes and leaks causing a #2 misfire for a small amount of time when warm started. pass this on few mechanics know of this. you will see the metal corroded.

Default #2 misfire

Kinda stumped now.....replaced knock sensor, plugs, wires, distributor, checked vacuum lines above rear tire....everything checks out. Still getting a misfire and its noticeable around 40 mph only. Freeway driving is fine. Getting 15-16 mpg which is about average but can't get rid of the error code for knock sensor/#2 misfire. Any helpful
ideas?

I am having the exact same issue as the guy that started the tread, i have checked all of the vacuum piping but none of the metal or plastic tubes are rotted out. I am completely clueless on what to do from here. I've replaced spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor arm.

For the cylinder misfire code, if you already replaced the plugs, wires, cap and rotor, then the problem is more than likely the fuel injector. Before replacing the injector try cleaning the fuel injectors first. You could just add a fuel additive to the fuel tank or have a shop perform a fuel injector flush.

Default I just fixed my 98 pathy

I had the same problem and I was going to replace the injectors and idle air control. I looked at the plug ends for the idle air and injectors. They were loose. I cleaned the connectors and made sure the plug was properly attached and it fixed the whole issue.
