2006 Pathfinder SE
I have an '06 Pathfinder SE that is giving an emissions code P0455 I know it is not the gas cap and it is also loosing power like the transmission is slipping but it doesn't quite slip. Just no pick up for a few seconds. It currently has just under 76K and of course is not under factory warranty at this point.

if your shifting is a little odd... it might be a serious problem... radiator failure allowing coolant to mix with your transmission fluid..... checking the dip stick will not SHOW straberry shake substance since its heavy and will rest at the bottom of the tranny/pan.... check your tranny fluid with a paper towel... place tip of dip stick on papertowel and watch it spread out over the paper towel-this means its ok..... the color should be red and not cooking oil color.
you want to determine if you have a radiator failure.... purchase a clean oil change pan..... you will clean tranny drain plug and drain the 4 to 5 quarts... cross your finguers it comes out red.... if it does then you are safe... post back after you have done those things. |
