Default Headlight upgrade for 09 Pathfinder?

I recently purchased an 09 Pathfinder SE. I have been very happy with the truck so far. This past weekend, was the first time I noticed the headlights weren't great on really dark roads hilly roads (driving on the backwoods mountain roads in New Hampshire).

Switching between low + fog lights and high beams really didn't make much difference!

Has anyone replaced the headlight bulbs with higher intensity to try to help this?

Thanks

Usually higher intensity bulbs melt the connectors and housings on the headlamps. You may want to consider an HID upgrade. They make kits that use the existing housing.

the HID upgrade is a better choice, if you simply purchase the so called white lights at your local autoparts store- they will last 5 to 7 months. the HID system works with individual ballast that powers eash headlight and they come with 1 year guarantee.
