My 99 pathfinder se turns over but won't start,New pump,filter,distributor,cap,button...took it to dealer they said not firing but they wanted to replace what I just put in for 1200.00anybody have an idea,it was running fine one day then slow start the next then no start. Can anyone please tell me what I can do to get my truck running agai.?

The two most likely items would be a bad distributor or a broken timing belt, but it could be any of a lot of things. Did you remove and clean the spark plugs after replacing the distributor assy. to make sure they aren't fouled?

Did you install the new distributor yourself? If you did, did you follow the procedure on removal ( putting #1 cyl. on TDC on compression stroke, and marking direction of rotor). Verify plug wires for correct firing order. This may be the reason dealer said you're not getting spark.
